“Kanika came to Lucknow on March 11 last after spending a day in Mumbai. He was absolutely right at that time. He complained of fever and cough in the last two days. We conducted medical examination as a precautionary measure. This morning we came to know that he was infected with the corona virus. He said that Kanika had attended two-three parties related to Holi on March 13, 14 and 15. They were small events and by and large, 250 to 300 people participated.
Meanwhile, sources said, a number of politicians and officials, including some ministers of the Uttar Pradesh government, were also involved in the parties that Kanika had participated in. He said that if you see any symptoms of corona virus infection in yourself, in your family, anywhere in the neighbourhood, immediately get a doctor’s check. Stay clean, meet people at least and prevent rumours from spreading through WhatsApp or any other means.
